THE MONTESSORI METHODOLOGY of education is based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s (1870-1952) scientific observation about how children learn as they progress from birth through adulthood. The foundation of the Montessori approach emphasizes child-centered learning in which children learn at their own pace, regardless of their age in a mixed- age environment. Under the instructions of our inspired, qualified MACTE accredited teachers, activities are carried out individually and in small groups. Thus, the children learn to take turns, listen to others and share ideas.
Founded in 2006 by Dr. Bhudendra Doobay, VOV Academy is an aspiring school and childcare centre, combining both the Montessori and Play- Based frameworks. It provides all children of early ages with the foundation to reach their optimum potential within an exceptional learning environment by conquering all the stages of development.
When parents enter VOV Academy for the first time, they often comment on the coziness and the positive energy that is present in our warm and vibrant environment. Upon entering this close-knit community of students, the parents feel a deep sense of trust and comfort when they drop off their children at school. While at VOV Academy, the hands-on learning and collaborative play experiences present infinite opportunities for exploration and discovery.
Our mission is to create a safe and an enriched learning environment for each child to develop a strong sense of independence, confidence, and compassion towards others while preserving our rich cultural heritage. These life-long learning skills will motivate children to establish a strong foundation necessary to support learning in the early years while enhancing relationships with others. We believe that every child is a competent, capable, and a curious learner who explores the world around them with an absorbent mind.
Our vision is to educate the future leaders of tomorrow while preserving our rich cultural heritage. Our high-quality early learning experiences will help each child to co-construct knowledge and establish a relationship with others, thus enabling them to become competent individuals to actively engage in the world around them.
